Er Bullwinkle, maybe not right this minute, but the EU Battery Pass is coming and will nudge EU consumers to a better ESG vehicle.
The EU is the world's third largest vehicle market, and just as, if not more importantly, is the where global environmental standards are often birthed.
Cheap and cheerful (just don't look too closely ) only fools people for so long.
IMO in time it wouldn't surprise me if there was a backlash against the Chinese model of state-subsidised overproduction, poor-ESG, IP infringement vehicles, particularly if something stupid happens in regards to Taiwan.
