Interesting talk about a wildcard round for next year, which will see a change to the current finals format. From what I understand it gives the 9th and 10th placed team a shot at the winning a premiership at the end of the season.
So teams ranked 1st to 4th will play qualifying finals and 5-6th an elimination final as usual, however teams 7th-10th play off each other for a spot in those eliminations finals a round before.
So 7th vs 10th, 8th vs 9th will play in an extra round in the bye week before finals, winner takes on 5th and 6th in the Elimination finals.
