Is it possible that CNM-Au8 and MPL would be complementary drugs? CNM-Au8, in combination with riluzole, was well-tolerated in ALS with no identified safety signals. MPL appears to be equally safe. Good chance CNM-Au8/MPL would be safe.

In layman's terms, MPL would be busy cleaning up the cellular waste dump [ie autophagy] while CNM-Au8 gives added support to what is left of the healthy cell system.

Well said Quiltman. I think it is vital that the market be educated in the essential autophagy role that monepantel will play in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases like ALS and that it's likely that these types of disorders, being complex, will likely eventually have multiple treatments targeting various aspects of the disorder. (Just my opinion. Am I making sense @kpax?)
