Sure, but I see it as a short-term issue. What LIC needs right now is a catalyst to boost market confidence, which is the VCAT result (I am confident that LIC management will have a stronger stance to win the case). The sales and settlement part is something that is impacted by macro or RBA. Even with buyers starting to flock over the other competitors with non-DMF, the poorer buyers will realise that they do not have the liquidity to hop in and eventually get priced out by other wealthy buyers. Hopefully, LIC will remain on the index list for the next rebalancing which is next month I believe.
