    Howdy and thanks for your thoughts.

    However, it doesn't appear to address my Key point in my post to you as following;
    You -> "human sacrifice only"

    Wotsup -> "Correct me if I'm wrong -> that statement appears to suggest to me, that you think a human sacrifice would not be good enough.
    If so, do you have any verses to support such and notion?"

    "Wotsup
    Remember, God never required the cross
    we did
    It wasnt God who required the death of Jesus
    It was mans evil heart"

    It appears to me, God used evil men to perform his will, you could say, he put hooks into their jaws and it was going to happen, come what may.
    Several verses or passages suggest, this plan was in place before Gens creation, Col 1:15 - 18 for example.
    To fulfill -> Titus 1:2 - in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, (2 Tim 1:9, through a future Jesus to be).

    This Gen quote it would appear, was foreknown.
    Gen 3:15 - And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
    Rev 13:8 - All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
    Heb 2:9, 10 - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower (not reduced to be lower) than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
    (His all time beginnings from Mary)
    For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

    Acts 2:23 - Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;
    John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
    Gal 4:4 (Timing) - But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
    John 1:29 - The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

    We know what a Lamb is for - sacrifice.
    -------------
    "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do
    John 17.4"

    You could say that is referring to Jesus's hands on work, preaching etc and the rest out of his hands would be the final wrap up.
    "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
    john 19.30"

    Jesus stopped one from using their sword, as the scriptures must be fulfilled.
    ---------------
    "What Man required and believed about God=what you just expressed, old covenant thinking".

    What I expressed, was that that would end the OT covenant once and for all.
    You could say that the event of Abraham and his Son, was a foreshadow of what was to come.
    As well as, God wouldn't ask Abraham to do, what he himself was not prepared to do, as we now know.
    -------------
    " Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me."

    Heb 2:9, 10 - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower (not reduced to be lower) than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

    He may not have desired, but numerous scriptures show, there was no option.
    ----------------
    "Jesus came to correct mans misconceptions"

    The above and much more, is not mans misconceptions, but God's plans unfolding or unfolded.
