Yes, mainly on my iPhone. It is sometimes that slow that my iPhone just gets out of my messaging altogether, returning to the thread feed. I don’t bother re-doing it because I’m just old and lazy now.
TR’s suggestion is the best fix - type it out elsewhere and paste in.
