Joel, forgive the amateur question, but why wouldn’t SPR look to increase annual throughput to higher than 1.3m tonnes a year, if the plant is capable of it?
I realise that this would incur additional costs and perhaps drive up the AISC. But it would also bring forward cash flows and boost the NPV, as well as offering the option to lock in production at a time when the gold price is hopefully going to be strong.
Assuming that they don’t dilute the production grade, why not push for higher tonnage?
