Yes the Municipal Governments still have veto power at the moment. However both the EU and the Swedish Government desire more mines in Sweden and there are many changes to mining legislation about to be proposed to speed up and stream line the approval process including a review of the current environmental processes.
.Back in March Ebba Busch proposed a mining tax to go to Municipal Governments might be among the changes.
. I believe that the Uranium ban will be lifted and that after that Uranium will be considered just another commodity to be mined as a product or byproduct (with commodity specific rules).How quickly this will happen is anyone’s guess.
