For those interested in AZR's story, I think it helps to revisit some of the old broker reports on AZR's website.
Carmichael's for example, attributes a NPV of 20c/share based on benchmark iron ore prices of 27c/iron unit tonne. Forecast prices for 2005 are set to break 40c/iron unit, and long term forecasts sit at over 30c.
Proven management - Ian burston, previously head of Hammersley Iron which had annual outputs of greater than 50mpta. Warren gillhome, extensive industry experience having been part of RTZ. Worth noting that Ian also oversaw the construction of the Fimiston "super pit" - the largest open cut mining pit in the southern hemisphere I believe, as head of KCGM at the time. No feat is too hard for this man.
Lots of upside to come from previously unexplored areas of the island.
Patience WILL be rewarded with this share, I feel.
