IMO, we stopped evolving in a positive way once we left the hunter gatherer lifestyle

ownership didn't appear to be much of an issue prior to agriculture - after it, the poop hit the fan with large organised warfare

human cooperation worked well before hand - but after

the cooperation was harnessed by greed - individuals protecting their property - wealth

the whole way through - cooperation was the tool to progress -

but, the cooperative characteristics of humans were used against them by individuals harnessing that cooperation

that we know espouse individualism and independence to me - works against everything in human nature that is good.

America is the standout cancer of it. Every person for themselves.

they even invented terms for it - for the 'con' ------ one such is

what's the 'angle' ----------- the 'angle' being that someone must have a self serving individual motive

a totally different kind of societal flavour to many (not all) European societies - where people want to do things - so they can all have better lives and a better society

America is a standout --------- Australia has the same dinner table values - we want the kids to be educated so they can get a better job - which means a bigger pay -which means they can get a bigger house so they can fill it with more useless crap -

there is no thought to nation or society - same as America

Humans progress via cooperation - be it good or bad

humans CANNOT progress in any way shape or form with individualism

it is against the very fabric of the species ------ we cannot survive alone.

We worked it out way way way prior to the stone age.

    Lately, we've lost the lesson
