Who decides the metric used to determine who can do a good job? What metric is used? I know numerous "diversity" engineers who can't grasp the basic concepts like polygons in CAD, they're literally b-grade technicians. I know loads of geologists who can't visualise in 3D and struggle with reading maps... yet, there they are, still employed and still talking as if they're experts. The middle management who is tasked with the decision to cull, has zero experience in any of the fields being culled, so, it gets decided on other factors, such as intersectionality scores then a simple wage/cost..In my experience/research, teams of INTJ men, as per myers-briggs definition, are far more capable & efficient at mining.... yet, here we are with companies making racist/sexist hiring decisions based on intersectionality... looking at you BHP.
