With modern AI guided munitions/drones, the role of the CIA, IMO, is: -train the grunt soldiers to set the missiles/munitions and the rest can be done from a CIA compound of which the CIA have a dozen in the Ukraine.
-Targetingvia precise GPS# , timing & decoys can all be remotely controlled as they were in Afghanistan. Of course that tactic did not work well in Afghanistan because the Taliban were small moving targets in Toyota Utes which took $1 mil rocket to take out a ute while the Russians fighting a conventional war are making much bigger targets
So in that context, who is fighting the hi-tech war? That is why, IMO, its fundamentally a proxy US-Russian war because it is driven by US Sat technology, US smart/remotely controlled bombs with US Sat technology to measure outcomes and plan accordingly.
#GPS was devised by the military for precisely that purpose.
