Mixed bag with global markets overnight.
In Europe, the FTS rose 42 points (.52%), the DAX had a modest gain of 3 points (.02%) and the CAC fell 19 points (.26%).
In the US, the DOW fell 140 points (.36%), the NBI fell 9 points (.21%), the NASDAQ Composite was up 35 points (.21%) and the Russell small cap index fell 18 points (.91%).
Small caps have been supporting markets in the US as big tech companies are seen as overpriced so the fall in the Russell index is worrying.
US markets are waiting on economic data later this week.
US CPI data out on Wednesday.
US retail sales data is out on Thursday.
Oil prices have surged due to expected attack from Iran on Israel.
Fear versus greed index - VIX - is up.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield is at 3.91%.
Oil prices are up - Brent crude at US$81.92 per barrel.
Gold price has surged to US$2,472 per oz.
BITCOIN is up to US$59,033.
