In the highest or 4th or higher dimensional realities it is all about energy attraction, vibrational match, where in a lower reality like most of the people here on earth resonate in it can be more about lust than love.
It is not about just finding one loving sexual relationship, its about finding a vibrational match, and some souls may chose more than one partner.
Lust is a 3rd dimensional duality way of thinking, love is a higher reality way of thinking.
Having just one partner is a 3rd dimensional duality way of thinking, you separate yourself from God when you think that having just one partner is the only way to love others souls in a sexual way.
