Interesting thing is that the coking futures chat is for prime hard,the very best. This is a smaller part of the market. The demand has switched to lower grades as steel industry is having a bit of a quiet time just now. There is no price index for the more average grade coking coal that I am aware of. Anyone know of any? There is some seasonality in this market due to the Indian monsoon too.
