re: ban on bullbars/masta not disputing that dave, but if there was also a polybar it probably would have absorbed a great deal of the energy (as the steel bar, while rigidly protecting the car, does NOT absorb energy in deformation, then that is delivered as a secondary 'impact' via kinetic energy to the occupants)
also if they were in a Leopard Tank they would also have ended up knocking down the tree and coming to rest on top of it..........
personally I dont care if people attach a stone wall and a battering ram to their bonnet, but I can see that road safety guys reasoning, and if you own a four wheel and only drive in the city to go shopping then why the hell does anyone need a steel bull bar? just my 2 cents and some loose change worth
