I have highlighted the timing of Macca's apparent short sell activities to STX but no reply to date. Perhaps it's too raw a nerve to touch or it's just not worth their effort even going down that rabbit hole.
Either way, only STX mgmt will know what they disclosed to Macca as part of any financing discussion.
