Without the CJ style insults and praises I will state my position. I put links into the interesting topic as they should be just that. If you go through them you will observe I put unbiased links in that support the use of fossil fuels AND support renewables. If you think coal consumption isnt relevant to Lynas, please yourself. Is biofuel the answer, I dont know enough about it, just interesting.
My comments on carbon neutrality remain. I think it was last year a scientific body , whether right or wrong, said that the surface of the earth now has more manmade mass on it (excluding water, oceans) than mass, ie forests, etc in the wild kingdom. All that mass has been created from manufacturing and mining of the earths natural resources. We, using your word, clearly need to embrace using technologies and techniques to keep our temperatures and climates stable but to say the planet can remain carbon neutral is an absolute nonsense. (Im not saying you said that either. It was what I posted before. ). It has been left way too late and the best we can do is mitigate any further INCREASE in damage. At some point people will suffer . You only have to see the huge coal tankers leaving Newcastle, NSW to see there are countries that dont really care about a carbon neutral world but make out they are trying to achieve it. Global carbon, CO.2 neutrality - its a furphy. But we need to at least try to achieve something. Thats why I have an investment in Lynas .
