On face value, a fair point … but being a nascent industry of considerable potential future value, green hydrogen needs a leg up against behemoth incumbent fossil fuel producers.
I am pretty sure that even after several centuries incumbent fossil fuel producers still wangle subsidies and concessions from governments … I don’t think that is deserved.
