Hopefully Towie and Yogi are right and this week will herald a renewed in interest in the junior oil sector, sparked perhaps by the Jingemia discovery. There are also a number of interesting developments about to happen elsewhere. In regard to companies that interest me some of these are:
CUE
Bilip-1 could hit first target by the end of the week but more likely the week after. CUE should announce Sept quarter cash flow report which should reflect an increase in cash flow and increase in cash in hand. Still waiting for something definitive from Santos on Oyong development. Wortel to be drilled in December. CUE due for a rerating in recognition of fact that company is back on track after mess it was in last year.
FAR
Results of Rainosek should be announced Monday. Gas shows in drilling mud reported on Fridays augers well for final result. Argos drilling put back to mid November. FAR plodding along OK with some interest in shares building.
BLO, PCL, AWE,
Joint venture partners due to meet this week to decide what to do with Huinga 1B. Seems a sidetrack into upper Murihiku thrust fracture most likely. Not a peep out of BLO for weeks!! Announcement on ST could provoke some interest in JV shares. A P&A would send BLO and PCL to new lows but that seems unlikely. Bosavi to be drilled after Bilip, next new drilling for BLO. BLO agm on 31 October. anyone going?
PSA
Results of second West Cameron well should be known early in the week. PSA quietly, carefully and successfully going about its business to develop cash flow from the Gulf. Bit difficult to get info out of PSA, their website must be worst of the junior oilers. But future looking very good with revenue flows assured from both Ship Shoal and West Cameron. Not a bad years work.
CVN
First production test of one of the new wells later in the week. CVN could badly do with some good news. Pressure build up in shut in wells is encouraging. PTE website best for info on what is happening in Thailand.
NWE, VOY, AWE
In for a rerating as Jingemia upgrades prospect in nothern Perth Basin and attention begins to focus on Cliff Head appraisal drilling and Twin Lions.
ARQ
Takeover talk should keep interest in shares high.
NZO, PPP AWE
Rumoured announcement of Tui drilling overdue. Time running out to get a slot on Ocean Bounty. Pike River Coking Coal decision (NZO) can’t be that far away can it?
PPP
With Carnarvon drilling getting closer hard to see shares staying at these levels for too much longer.
Grateful for anyone else's contibutions. Good trading. JBC
