Sorry old chap but frac and fraccing are well established mining terminology used every day in the mining industry, they are not slang words. Also, a stick of "dynamite" is actually called a stick of "fracture" in the mining industry. Fracture is the french word for a stick of dynamite and somehow it is deeply embeded in industry jargon, probably because the French were leaders in explosives technology 100 years ago.
