Will be interesting to see how this offer pans out in terms of any counter offers and the final shareholders vote to accept. Assuming the offer is successful, I'm wondering what the Australian taxation implications are for Aussie holders? Will it mean LRS holders will receive their PLS allocation (at .07 PLS per 1 LRS held) valued at a cost of 20c on the date of the formal offer acceptance? Will this mean holders will be up for tax on any profits and with any existing CGT relief coming into play for holding over 12 months old? Also, I assume the purchase date of the converted PLS holdings will become the formal conversion date rather than the date on which our LRS shares were purchased?

Any comments from tax gurus out there would be appreciated.
