    Ore is different, minerals are similar, and flow sheet is similar. Nolans flow sheet has a couple of additions, pre leach for phosphoric acid production and also a process for cerium rejection.

    The cracking/baking process is different, Nolans uses indirect oil heated paddle type heaters (250deg/C) whereas Lynas uses gas fired kilns (600 deg/C)

    What's glaringly obvious is the difference in scale. Nolans needing to process approximately 4 x the material to produce approximately 40% less end product compared to Lynas.

    I'm not convinced Arafura's numbers stack up when they claim to be cost competitive with Lynas. This project looks like it's going to waste plenty of taxpayers' money. IMHO.
