I said higher up thread - [I know of carers of Aged rels who find it near impossible to get respite care for their charges - and of course all they get from Gov for 24/7/365 care is the insulting carers allowance] I have been shown bank statements showing the Carers Allowance - including an annual supplement - is now $13 per day (assuming a 365 day year) Many carers would be on call 7am to 10pm and doing multiple tasks in that time. These carers accept this miserly $13 per day to wear themselves out saving the Gov ~$200 per day to keep a relative out of the Gov supported Residential Aged Care gulag. Where Albo tells us Maggie Beer is improving the meals.
