"Pub test, should an early forty's man with children go surfing in a foreign country and die?"
That would likely get a universal 'no' but it would open up a discussion of personal/family risk/responsibility. Should an early forties man with children take holidays by himself? Should he do potentially dangerous activities even when in his own country?
It would be an interesting discussion.
