Acorn,
That is in capacity not actual output which usually about one third of possible optimum capacity.
China currently has 243 Giga watts of coal power under construction or permitted to smooth out the deficiencies of solar.
Meanwhile in south Australia with the greatest penetration of renewables on 29th July reached spot price of $17.500 per Mw Hr.
Unheard of in the days of consistent coal power generation not spasmodic replaceables.
No wonder average Australian power bills have gone by many hundreds under Bowen`s subsidized rush to spasmodic wind and solar.
