The main element between the 2 companies is probably the audience : REA claims to have "4.1 x more visits than its nearest competitor".
And this gap keeps increasing (cf slide 11 of REA presentation).
Looking at Similarweb figures between May and July 24, REA had an average monthly traffic of 47.6 million vs 15.9 million for Domain. It also confirms that the gap between the 2 companies has increased between May and July.
Based on their FY 24 presentations, my understanding is that REA increased its volume of residential listings (for sale) by 7 % vs + 3 % for Domain.
Both companies also had a significant increase for their average price per listing* : 19 % for REA and 18 % for Domain.
* due for both of them to price increase and mix improvement.
