it would be a good thing if other partisan senators did the same thing. they might learn that people aren't fussed generally about parties as they want their issues addressed, not just swept under the carpet as usual.

the Senate has often been the environment where independent MPs can thrive. lets see how she goes, she's got a few years before she comes up for re-election. see how she goes in 2028 election.

Agree Scott, but she needs to drop her pro Hamas/PLO politics. West Australians, generally, don't see this as her role. Also, the Senate is a House of review and does not make Laws, that is the HR's role. She can state a view of proposed Laws, but if she can't form a view by herself she is a waste of space.
