I have a battery. I can't even use all the free electricity from the solar overnight.
Fyi, in the middle of winter, my solar cranks up at sparrow's fart and is still collecting electrons after the sun goes down. Not sure where you live but there are quite a lot of sunny days in winter. Even overcast days are quite productive with a 6kW system.
Yes, manufacturers suggest not charging EVs with NMC or NCA batteries to 100% every day. However, there is no such restriction for EVs with LFP batteries which can be charged to 100% on a daily basis.
Now look up which EVs are fitted with LFP batteries. You might find it's the ones you regularly see charging at public chargers.....
