If it gets them off the road?.... Then yeah, why not?! I'll be honest here, I don't own an EV and indeed I do own a landcruiser troop carrier with a whopping 4.2l diesel engine. But it is 30 years old and would easily do another 500,000 kms on top of the current 480,000! Lol
As I spend time about 50/50 in Queensland and Victoria, I actually have 3 cars but none is less than 25 years old. I have had a view for a long time that the sunk greenhouse emissions in my cars are large and keeping an old vehicle on the road that does not get driven a lot is better for the planet than buying a whole new car (BEV or not).
