I suppose you have to start somewhere, but there is a lot more to investing than asking "strangers" on this forum for tips.
You need to read and learn about investing so that you are aware of what you are investing in, and why.
A good starting place would be to look at some of the books available on the hotcopper site :

Hotcopper is a very good resource for information and opinion, but you still need to reason things out for yourself. And you also need to be aware of those posters who make meaningful posts and those who post rubbish.
