yes i agree - 40 years trading, and what 20yrs?? now using internet press the key and buy/sell for bugger all, non broker trading - it was great for a good part of those years but having sat watching this show lately, the .0005c trades, the 1 share trades "(which increase liquidity the ASX informs us), the clear momentum trades, the shorter and shorter timeframes of good news lasting in any sp, and the absolute slaughter of a sp on bad news. ( ie the volatility has grown enormously becuase of the bot trading) all of which i suspect is related to algorithm Computer trading.
it is making it so much harder as a retail person, and on top of that in the O&G game the ESG anti fossil fuel pressures.
And the final one as i have posted many times is the CR/placement game of the institutions knowing a CR is coming becuase the Co assess interest BEFORE the Trading halt occurs such that it makes continuous disclosure clearly breached and the raising of capital that more expensive as the sp is pushed down prior to the TH.
what is value now - i have no idea, and i get creamed more times lately thinking it was a good entry price.
