Yeah me too, but naive or inexperienced people are easy to lead astray so providing some evidence to back up claims shouldn't be too much to ask. But then a lot of the people who simply repeat what they've heard are probably naive and gullible themselves so don't like being called out on it. In the end it doesn't matter is someone agrees or not, at least give them some info to think about.
