If you would like a local example of sea level changes look at the data from Fort Denison in the middle of Sydney Harbour.Given that the Sydney Basin is slowly sinking,this would give your argument some fuel if you left out that parameter.
Fact is that sea levels are not rising in response to rising CO2 levels.
