    Newbie, as with almost all exploration and development mining companies SVL does not have operating mines. It raises or borrows moneys and utilises them for exploration and development. It has done this since year dot and will no doubt continue to.

    Most exploration companies reach a low point at some stage. That is why the Lassonde curve is so well liked. A classic example is FMG. It was at 1 cent in 2003, $10.80 in mid 2008, then down to $1.54 in 2016. Within 3 years of that it was at $25.18 (I had some I sold in the $20's).

    IMO it was at the start far more speculative than this is now, and at times far more at risk. If you are after blue chip stability use a term deposit. If you want a chance to make an awful lot start with a sound exploration or development company.
