BTW, we have a local newsletter covering our little area of paradise in the south west, written by a resident who is a small business owner. One of the observation was although the number of vacant houses aren't as high as this time last year, the listings are higher. And at the moment he is suggesting if you list now, rather than waiting for the glut to move, expect to take a 20% haircut on this time last year. I guess it is just supply and demand.

And rents haven't risen either.
