Hi Learner,

Always read your posts. You are a fighter and obviously a very positive person overall. You certainly have had your battles with cancer and your reliance on Capecitabine tells us that you and your clinician continue this battle.

I suspect you know more about the way Capecitabine works than you let on and you would certainly know all about its side effects ... either from personal experience or the warnings your doctor is required to share with you.

Capecitabine (which is a type of chemotherapy) is specially designed to ‘mess’ with the potential growth of cancer cells in the body. In other words, it is designed to slow down or preferably destroy cancer cells. Is it effective? Absolutely! If my memory serves well ... it did, or does, sit on the WHO’s List of Essential Medicines.

Your liver converts capecitabine into 5-FU which looks for fast growing cells (like cancer) and then ‘interferes’ with DNA synthesis, along with RNA and proteins. This is what you are after ... but you need to know that it may also interfere with other ‘health’ cells.

In my view it does NOT operate like IMU’s OVs, which I think was part of your question. Will CF33 and the rest of its ‘spin-offs’ act as a preventative? Only time will tell but do note Scott's comment above regarding IMU's B-Cell 'vaccine'.

If IMU are successful with their onCARlytics studies then ... you may never need to take Capecitabine ever again. Let’s hope so mate.
