    I agree it’s not about bias. We just took the easy route last time because it was so obvious.

    its about the govt unable to find a defensible reason to decline the application. If they had one they would have done it ages ago. Both govts.

    they have been playing silly buggers for years and now they are being corralled. Unfortunately people’s expectations here were wildly optimistic and no decision was ever going to be made today.

    today is a good result because timelines are now being put around the govt that they will have to largely comply with. They need to produce something by the 14th that supports some sort of reasoning as why they haven’t made a decision. Then other timelines follow.

    so assuming the judge will eventually order a 45 decision even in a worst case scenario with more delays and a longer than expected wait for a hearing date at least an end date will be coming.

    if it had just been left with no court action the govt would of just left it in the too hard tray.

    I like you hope that when they review their first filing on the 14th they realise it’s pretty thin and then throw in the towel and try and make a deal.

    it’s mind blowing that it’s this complicated to get permission to drill a test well 6 feet in diameter….
