As you would have seen on the Singapore packaging, currently Nasodine is not recommended for children under 12. However, I completely understand the need for something for younger kids, because they seem to be constantly sick with colds during winter months.
Yes, in the past, we said we were considering clinical trials in children aged 6-11 (ASX release of 21 February 2023: "FRE files EU Paediatric Investigation Plan for Nasodine"). This was part of a European marketing approval application as a treatment for the common cold, which we were planning at the time. In Europe, you are required to submit a development plan for the product in children (Paediatric Investigation Plan or 'PIP') for the same indication. Suffice to say, the European application as a treatment for the common cold has not proceeded and those particular trials have not been proceeded.
However, given our new commercial positioning as a nasal antiseptic, rather than a treatment for the common cold, we may have more flexibility in the future.
