Agreed, even though I have no current interest in the company.
I was aware of the idealism when I dipped my toe in, as it were, but at the time the plant vs animal protein proposition seemed to have legs and so I put a little bit into the company to see how it would go.
Since then the whole plant vs animal protein proposition has come unstuck while it has become increasingly clear that WOA could not work out if it would be a manufacturer of food retail products or a commodity supplier to food manufacturers.
The original principals have shown that they have little idea of how to run a corporate business and there is a very open question as to whether the new management can make it work. There badly needs to be good people with a background in food commodities and international marketing to manufacturers, assuming the current focus is retained.
The company has morphed from a WA niche food producer to a multinational plant protein supplier in an opportunistic manner without establishing the management structure to make this work.
I am not sour grapes on my negative experience with WOA since I went in on an "experimental" basis, and so I will be pleased if new management can make the various pieces work profitably going forward.
