I agree cappie.... which is why I've explicitly framed this addressing the fact that its about perpetrators and victims.

some men are victims for perpetrators too, just as some women unconsciously seek a 'bad man' who will treat them badly.

so yeh its essential that we all, male and female, talk about DV. but lets not get bogged down in distractions.
