@salpetie .. great work again. As I said in a previous post I'd expect ENR to turn the whole area into Swiss cheese before they gave up, and they are doing just that in trying to find areas of high grade mineralisation.
No mention recently of any samples being sent for priority assaying, but they could just be leaving it for a surprise announcement. They seem to have a tight control on information security, which is another plus for management.
@1BigPete ... I call it as it see it. I wouldn't mention SGQ in the same breathe as management at ENR. Here the company funds are being managed very well, with most funds being spent in the ground on exploration instead of staff, admin and corporate expenses. The other mob spent 3 times as much as ENR management on those expenses and around half in the ground.
ENR also most likely have much more high grade mineralisation in either the Crean/Hoschke corridor OR at Emily than the entire high grade allotment of SGQ. It's easily visable in using the scale on the maps.
Logic itself should tell you from this map that the high grade mineralisation is in a very localised small area. Just look at all the yellow dots of lower grade cutting off the resource from extending further North!!
IMHO ENR as a junior explorer has much more possibility/probability of finding an economic resource of niobium than that other mob, that spend way too much on staff, admin and corporate, with a history of talking up the most minor of finds.
ENR are exploring for high grade Niobium the correct way. The high grade is going to be in the oxidised portion sitting above the fresh mineralisation, from the fresh carbonatite that weathered over time. The other important aspect is that the weathered material as preserved in place over time. There are plenty of carbonatites where the weathered mineralisation has been eroded away.
The next door Luni deposit has already shown that large, weathered, preserved mineralisation does happen in this area, with over 50M tonnes of 2%+ grade. Any mine being set up will be initially based on the high grade (2%+) portion.
ENR have so far 3 areas with some 2%+ grades, but nowhere near the scale of Luni. The aircore drilling will determine if ENR has more of the high grade weathered mineralisation needed.
It's a cheap quick method for checking where there is likely to be the weathered, preserved mineralisation everyone is looking for.
