SGML $1.15B (USD)
LRS $532M (AUD)
So for for about $2,2B (AUD) ,RIO could buy both LRS and SGML, have income from Sigma immediately , and develop LRS and have
a major presence in Lithium straight away.
It could also buy PLS $8.5B (AUD), but i would avoid the high CAPEX and OPEX in WA, and go for the Sigma/LRS package .
No FIRB issues selling LRS to a fellow Australian company.
If the highly paid execs at RIO don't jump at that ,then they are not maximising their SH value. .
