I think that the appropriate term is:
Trust has been lost.
I'm amazed that the only thing they could think of in order to "strengthen the balance sheet" was to vomit all over the shareholders.
My long held strategy has been to buy beaten up quality companies eg BHP, AGL, NUIX, plenty of other examples. Then I hold them until
the negative sentiment goes away and bingo - double the entry price.
For me IFL has lost the "quality" bit of the strategy. Might be the ex AMP people in there now - look at how that worked out.
All that said I could be wrong
