this is the precise problem with management doing NOTHING to support the share price; the longer this crap goes on the lower the average price over the last month, the last three months, the last six months
hobo is 100% correct; they can offer 100 premium today, and get the entire company for 7 cents a share; or they can wait until 2 cents and get the entire company for 4 cents; and PI will get some sweetheart deal - it can even be PI can become part owner in the privatization... so PI can sell 20% of the company at 4 cents, but get 49% of the company back; so that would mean PI pick up so many shares at 4 cents and Hologic get their full boat at 4 cents... new private owners super happy, and every ASX holder screwed... this is exactly the sort of thing that can happen; it is all 100% legal (not moral, but super legal)
