i don’t think that’s true at all. It’s one reason but if you were ever privy to police family violence orders you would not it does not distinguish between “class”, employment type or socioeconomic profiles
the main cause is people with poor self control and a view that their partner “owes” them in some way. Simple
there are people who struggle who do not and never would resort to violence. that’s because they have other ways of managing their emotions
