Just got back from a trip to California to see family. Paid a visit to Jack-Hamar and Sledge-Hamar sites whilst I was there.

Didn't get a chance to speak with anyone on site, but it looks like there has been a lot of activity on both.

Sledge Hamar site looked particularly impressive. The Belridge oilfield lies about 50m away, and it is scattered with thousands of oil wells. Having seen it with my own eyes, I'd be amazed if it doesn't extend into OPL's acreage.

Bearing this in mind, it seems to me that the recent deal done with Maxim which gives OPL a free carry on the development on this field looks like the deal of 2004. Steve Graves is one clever chappie.

Exciting times lie ahead. I'm betting $1 a share is fast approaching.
