Absolutely, but buying off individual politicans would be way expensive as compared to buying off a couple of party heads who then dictate what the subordinates do at the peril of losing their 'pre-selection'. Might not be the perfect solution but it would better than what we have now.

Have to destroy the Westminster system first, no easy task. The population could not stomach that level of change considering they can't even get the numbers for covid inquiry.
