A JV could be possible .. But very unlikely.
I would think RIO would need too see a DFS before making any offers for anything. PMT or WR1 would be more likely targets right now.
Not sure why they would not be buying WC8 in Western Australia over a Canadian mob given that Australia and Canada are both higher capex/opex countries and WC8 will be 100MT and in a proven and reliable area.
