Insurance companies don't pay out big bucks for isolation.
In Cairns we have had that 214mm in 2 hours, not 24 hours.

You're comparing Cairns that regularly gets 100m in a day to Mount Isa that rarely gets its with regard to flooding. Come on be serious..
Mount Isa hasn't got the same infrastructure or drainage as FNQ to cope with flooding.
